My first calendars and their story

It all started with a wish. 2013’s wish, when I went online, full speed, with the project HandmadebyTalida. There was little time to make the calendars happen then, so last year I planned to craft and give them as presents to a few dear ones that matter a lot! Then, I can’t remember how it happened but I had a huge request for the calendars and ended up in making so many more than planned. I am so grateful to all of you who asked me to create new ones. You can’t imagine how much! Thank you.

There was a clear idea that I kept in mind for each calendar’s month, a set of colours and themes.  Read more

A Jolly Snowman

Happy day, dear friends and crafty people!
There’s been a lot of posting lately and I must say I am very proud I succeeded to make it happen. For today, I chose to post two cards using a jolly snowman from Inkadinkado’s stamp set.

I made quite many cards using this snowman. Love the earmuffs which kinda look like headphones and that’s the reason I call him a jolly snowman.:)

Hot Diggity Dog

Hi everyone,

The cards today are all having one character in common: Hot Diggity Dog. A stamp set designed by Andrea Jayne that has this lovely dog as part of it. The set was designed for an exclusive Docrafts set that came with one of their Creativity magazine’s issues.

Cherry Branch & Flowers

Hello to you all,

The card today is about flowers, cherry branches and a cute tag. It’s long due past to post this card but it’s only now that it reached the recipient or at least that’s what I know.;)

So, I really hope she likes it. I chose to make a clean and simple card, just a few bits and pieces. The card base is made of cream card stock which I ran through my XCut machine in an embossing folder from Sheena Douglas called Cherry Branch. I die-cut a tag out of cream card stock and stamped it with some flowers and a butterfly using Docrafts Artiste pigment and dye inks. Then I went and added some twine and adhered the tag to the card base. A bit of bakers twine was the perfect touch to the tag, tied in a bow. Of course, I needed a bit more dimension and still keep it pretty clean, so I looked for some tiny gem stones in pink and lilac to give that to the card.

My Kind of Trees

Hello dear friends and fans,

Whether you were naughty or nice, hope Santa brought you all lots of cheer and presents under your Christmas trees, that your spirits are bright and all of you enjoyed this time with family and dear ones!

There were a lot of cards made for these holidays and I feel so grateful to those who chose me to craft them for. As expected, I haven’t had the chance to share all of them with you, so, I put some more together to present.

For today, I have some cards with trees. These are some die-cut trees, decorated with sequins from my mum’s stash, some tiny buttons and stars and others simply embellished with my glitter gel pens and star stamp for the top. Sentiments, ribbons and twine were added for the dimension.

Many thanks for your comments and see you later with a post about Christmas stockings.

Owl I wish for Christmas

Owl I wish for Christmas is health, joy and kindness. That’s what we should wish for, shouldn’t we?

Now, with that in mind, I created some cards using some great Christmas papers available on Docrafts. I really love the idea of having these cute owls dressed up (on paper) for Christmas cards. And nothing beats the mood when listening to your favourite playlists on Zonga.

So, for these cards I fussy cut some owls and looked for some frames to add them to. The first one uses the remaining paper in white after die cutting some frames with my XCut machine. I embossed it with an XCut embossing folder – Mixed confetti. I glued it onto the front cover of the card base. Added the owl, a sentiment stamped in white dye ink. To give it an extra dimension I went for some red twine tied in a bow in the upper left corner.

IMG7622IMG7625For the other card I used an owl again. But this time I embossed the front cover of the card base using a XCut embossing folder called Tartan. Added a crimson piece of card in a golden glittered frame, which was previously die cut using the XCut frame dies. That was done one day when I had a filled trip with my XCut machine for the entire day.;)The sentiment is from another set and was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Hope you like them. I’ll be back tomorrow with other projects. It seems this has been a great time with lots of crafting going on.
