Cherry Branch & Flowers

Hello to you all,

The card today is about flowers, cherry branches and a cute tag. It’s long due past to post this card but it’s only now that it reached the recipient or at least that’s what I know.;)

So, I really hope she likes it. I chose to make a clean and simple card, just a few bits and pieces. The card base is made of cream card stock which I ran through my XCut machine in an embossing folder from Sheena Douglas called Cherry Branch. I die-cut a tag out of cream card stock and stamped it with some flowers and a butterfly using Docrafts Artiste pigment and dye inks. Then I went and added some twine and adhered the tag to the card base. A bit of bakers twine was the perfect touch to the tag, tied in a bow. Of course, I needed a bit more dimension and still keep it pretty clean, so I looked for some tiny gem stones in pink and lilac to give that to the card.

50 #Christmas cards

Hello, everyone!

Here I am with the promised post about my 50 #Christmas cards. This has been a lovely job as I turned it in a challenge of making the cards different from each other. Not entirely different but adding or making tiny or bigger changes. I have used a lot of stamp sets, inks, papers, cards, twine, sequins, markers, pens, watercolour pencils and ideas. The products I used are recycled, recyclable and earth-friendly. For some of the cards I found inspiration in one of my favourite magazines Docrafts Creativity, for others I got inspired by the creations of famous craft makers I admire and follow (Keren Baker, K. Werner, Julia Altermann). Then, of course, for most of them I had the ideas ready to roll for some time and this was just the right moment to make them come true.

For today, I chose to post a few photos with most of the cards together. And for the following days, there will be articles with those ones that use the same products but make a different card or cards. Read more

Digital November

Hello, dear fans!

This November I go for a newly found addiction called digital stamps. I have no idea why I haven’t tried them before! So, let me tell you a bit more about this. Through another passionate crafter ,that I admire profoundly, Julia Altermann from just-one-more-card.com, I found out about the cool digital stamps created by awesome Gerda Steiner. So, I went there and got some and then gave them a try.

The first one is with the birthday bear. The next ones are going to be all Christmas-y. Yes- yes … it’s that time of the year, I know. We, craft makers, all go in the holiday mode.

But first, I have other news to share with you. I’ve got a cool stamp, thanks to a dear and close family member. What do you think? Pretty cool, isn’t it?

Now, here is the card using the digital stamp. I went with a very clean and simple idea. No sentiments, no sequins. Nothing but the stamp, coloured in with Promarkers. Hope you like it.

Congratulations Card

Hi there, everyone!

Today, I’d like to show you a congratulations card I have recently made for someone close to my heart, a dear friend of mine. She made some changes in her professional life and we are very proud of her. So, a great reason once more to make her something special. Something that will accompany our wishes.

With this card I used a different technique for the background. I’ve got a very nice floral stencil, the 6” x 6″ Doily Flower made by Heidi Swapp, from one of my favourite shops in UK. Set it on a watercolour paper and sprayed it with green and blue ink. Trimmed it to fit the card base and the first layer of the cover which was a pink card I chose from my craft stash.

I added 2 strips of card, one pink and one cream, onto the bottom part of the cover. Then, I went for some nice pastel blue organza ribbon to give a soft and elegant look. The ‘Congratulations’ sentiment was stamped with Artiste pigment ink – pearlescent dusky rose on a watercolour tag. I also tied the ribbon into a bow to add a bit of extra dimension.

Some pink and pearl gems were added too, to give a little sparkle and to complete the dimension of the card.

Gorjuss in a cup of tea

There are some new Santoro Gorjuss stamp sets available and one of them is called Sweet Tea.

As I love drinking tea and most of my dear ones enjoy this miraculous drink I knew I’d be using it quite often to make gorjuss crafts with. And as my niece asked me why Gorjuss doesn’t have a mouth I went on adding it. I have also been inspired by a card I saw here. Guess it looks gorjuss, isn’t it?

This card was made as a gift for a dear friend and accompanied a fine Basilur tea pack called Cream Fantasy.

Vintage Bloomers

Bloomers. Shades of pink. Twine. Sentiments in dark red. And a nice layout to match them all. A birthday card that travelled, again, far away, to the North.

This time, I have also experienced with different backgrounds for the photos. Hope you like it.

Black & White Congratulations Card

Lili Psarudakis, a dear friend of mine has published her first book ‘Face Care’, a book with recipes and advice on natural homemade cosmetics.

What I love most is that it is thought and written for all skin types and it has great advice on how to use essential oils, clay, how to prepare creams, lotions and many more. It also includes some important advice for skin care during pregnancy.

And here’s the card I made for her on this occasion. It matches the colours of her book.

A delicate birthday card

Winter is one of the busiest and happiest seasons in the year! A lot of gifts, a lot of greetings, family, friends and between Christmas and New Year some important birthdays to celebrate too!

Here’s a card I made for one of these birthdays. The themes I chose for them are flowers and pink. I used different materials  such lace, string, twine and paper in various textures and shades.

The birthday card travelled to the North and reached the heart of a great person.
