Hello, dear friends and crafty people! The post today is about my first notebook. It is a flowery notes sewn notebook. And I hope you like it.
A while ago I saw a #docrafts tutorial on how to do bookbinding and got the idea to create a handmade notebook. I thought, at first, it’s complicated. But then, I said, hey, why not try it and see if that’s really the case?!Though I had in mind that it might take a while to do all the sewing and cutting, it turned out to be less time spent on these as initially expected. And it worked wonderful and I love what I created!
For the front cover I used #mftstamps set called Beautiful Blooms. These stamps are great!I stamped them using distress inks from Ranger. And I added a bit of glossy accents to the center of some of the flowers.
I had a parenthesis frame die cut previously which was kept in my die cuts stash and added it to the top of the notebook’s front cover.
Using the alphabet stamps from Docrafts’ Papermania collection I stamped in purple the word notes on a piece of cream card, matching the notebook’s covers.
And ta- dah! The flowery notes sewn notebook was ready. Love it!
Wishing you all my very best thoughts,
