bundle of joy

Welcome, little bundle of joy!

Hello, everyone and welcome, little bundle of joy! She’s got a beautiful name and an amazing smile! We’d like to wish her health, happiness and God blessings!

The post is about the handmade card that accompanies the gift we got her. The card matches the gift in colour combination with emphasis on red and white while having a bit of contrast in blue and black.

The main idea was to create a picture without frame, with a welcoming greeting. I chose vibrant colours and used different stamp sets. The bird, the flowers and ‘little bundle of joy’ sentiment come from Docrafts Papermania clear stamp sets designed by Stephanie Dyment for the ‘Honey & Hugs’ collection. The ‘frame’ corners are clear stamps from a Tatty Teddy ‘Me to you’ collection. I coloured in with neutral Santoro waterbrush markers. The ‘Hello’ sentiment is a stamp from MFTS ‘Beautiful Blooms’ set.

Card, envelope and supplies used

Once I had all stamped, I pierced the paper three times just above the design. I stamped with distress inks in various shades, Black Licorice dye ink and Docrafts Artiste dye ink in red. After that,I threaded some red string and tied it into a bow to look like the picture is hanging on a wall. A stripe of red glitter card is the front cover border, some clear Wink of  Stella on the flowers and that adds glimmer and shine to the design.
Many thanks for stopping by,
Talida
