Hello to you, all!
Today, I have a special card: A Birthday Ride. It’s special ’cause I know him pretty well and it’s hard to come up with something that could gather all my ideas, wishes and thoughts for him. And we all know that’s quite a ride to get something done when it comes to male cards.
So, I thought about what he enjoys much (besides me, of course), since he’s a sporty fellow: his BIKE. He also enjoys other sports, though his favourite seems to be cycling.
Then, I went on looking for the right materials for the card. The idea came from one journaling card in My Mind’s Eye collection Jubilee. With this in my mind, I cut out a bike from the “Ride” Bike Paper, chose the layers for the background, trimmed the Kraft card for the base, used a Tilly Daydream ribbon stamp as a border – adding some soft colour to the 1st background layer and after that, started practising my writing. I wanted a personal touch and not stamping the message as usual.
And, ta – da! This is what came out after I put all the pieces and bits together:
I really hope to be back soon with a new post and another special card. September is quite a really busy month! 😉
Ups, not to forget: I got all the lovely supplies from one of my favourite shops, except the Stabilo fineliners, which came as a gift from a dear friend a while ago.
