… a peaceful feeling, like a flower hugging a butterfly.

That’s what I felt while making this card for a beloved one. A dear friend, and not only, who gave me the wake up call and opened up my eyes to what the world around me looks like. And to what I should really pay attention to. Thank you will never be enough. But, I’ll still say it, on and on.
Happy birthday, once again!
Sara’s Drawing. Green.
When Sara drew the picture I thought I’d keep it on my fridge next to all the nice things I love. And then, I changed my mind and turned the drawing into something more memorable: a birthday gift.
All I needed was there. I just had to add some string to match the green in the drawing, some coloured cards and a frame. They blended nicely into a drawing frame to keep close to your soul and your heart.
The most memorable moment was when Sara kept the ready made frame in her arms with a radiant smile that warms any heart on earth.

Sara’s design 4 handmadebytalida
While visiting me, Sara was, as always, so energetic, wondering from the boys’ to the girls’ chats. So, I thought I should put her energy to work in a very constructive and creative way by asking her to draw what she wishes to have on her Christmas card this year. And she did it. She drew a house, a Christmas tree, a snowman and a girl. Then, she put it on my fridge so that I won’t forget about it.
I had a sketch, I went to work on it. I chose the colours, the cards, the materials and made it into a Christmas card the way she wanted. She was impressed, I was impressed and everybody loved it.
Ioana’s BDay Card

We met for the first time towards the end of March 2008. She came for an interview and then got the job. We worked for a couple of years together. And went through ups and downs together again. It was fun, challenging and inspiring. And here we are, December 2013, still friends, enjoying our chats and time we spend together. We love coffee and nice things. She has 3 wonderful kids. And she’s a great mum for them. She’s got a lot of optimism and she manages to always find the strength to encourage others too. I admire her for this!
When I drew the sketch of card, I thought of something simple, but elegant and here’s what came out. I hope you like it as much as she did!
The Bike
The story of this handmade card is pretty simple. And had a great effect on the beneficiary: my godson.
He loves bikes, cycling and travels at least 5 kms (in average) per day. The bike is one of his favourite means of commuting and there’s where the card idea came from.
Once I had the buttons, it took me about 30 minutes to have it all done, written and ready to be delivered.
Hope you’ll enjoy it too!
